This fragrant red is in its element with duck or lamb, strong cheese, or tapas such as jamón Serrano. Decanting one hour before serving will really open up those smooth, spice-kissed flavors.

We have been "consuming" & enjoying this Primitivo for over a decade. In our minds this is the standard measure of Italian Primitivo's. Understanding that the grape is what the US calls Zinfandel, the Pillastro is very much like a CA Old Vine Zin - robust and fruit forward. It never disappoints.
