This legendary winemakers worked their magic, coaxing out the organically grown Sangiovese’s intense cherry, blackberry, plum and pepper nuances. They also treated the wine to 18 months in fine oak barriques, which combined with a couple years of bottle aging, imparted hints of sweet tobacco and cocoa.
