TCM Backlot boasts an all-star cast of leading grape varieties. Merlot constitutes the biggest portion of the recipe and imparts the velvety texture that makes this red so easy to enjoy. Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure and black currant notes, while Dornfelder (a major star in Germany) and Zinfandel give dark berry flavors. There are also splashes of inky-dark Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, and Syrah. The resulting wine overflows with complex red cherry, boysenberry, black currant, and subtle spice characters.
