Pomegranate Spritzer With Blood Orange And White Wine
A refreshing pomegranate spritzer is an easy drink recipe that’s perfect for a warm day. The beauty of a spritzer is that you can use any white wine varietal you like (we recommend going with a dry wine).
The key to making the perfect wine spritzer is to ensure that all ingredients are chilled. The result is a tasty and fun spring or summer wine cocktail!
We partnered with Mongibello Juice to bring you this delicious Blood Orange + Pomegranate Spritzer recipe. We paired a handcrafted Italian Pinot Grigio from our Cellar Collection with Mongibello’s 100% fresh squeezed Italian juice.
Recipe makes 1 wine cocktail.
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Pinot Grigio (or another white wine)
- 1/4 Cup Mongibello Blood Orange & Pomegranate Juice
- Seltzer Water
- 1 TBS Pomegranate Seeds
- Mint Sprig for Garnish
- Blood Orange (sliced) for Garnish
Instructions
Start by adding pomegranate seeds to a glass. Next, fill the glass halfway with Pinot Grigio.
Add ¼ cup of Mongibello 100% Fresh Squeezed Italian Blood Orange & Pomegranate Juice. Top off the glass with seltzer water and give it a stir. Finally, garnish with a blood orange slice and mint sprig.
Our Blood Orange + Pomegranate Spritzer is a fun and easy drink to make when you’re in the mood for a refreshing cocktail. It’s a great mimosa swap to serve with brunch. For a fun social event, share this recipe with friends and family then enjoy it together during a virtual happy hour!
In this recipe, we used Luigi e Lucina Pingo Grigio*, a Cellar Collection favorite.
Tasting notes: Hailing from the Friuli region, their namesake Pinot Grigio is a crisp, thrilling taste of northern Italy’s great 2018 vintage. Look forward to ripe pear, apple, and pineapple flavors. Vibrant and mouthwatering, this makes an ideal summer wine cocktail, a refreshing aperitif, or a delicious partner to seafood, creamy pastas, and more.
*Call your local wine store for wine availability and recommendations on alternative options. Our suggested alternatives to try are:
- Diving Board Pinot Grigio
- La Catina Estate Chardonnay
